The Dunbar Advanced Choir will be in concert on Tuesday, December 16th at 6:00 p.m. in collaboration with the B. C. Rain High School Chorale. The concert is free and will take place at Dauphin Island Parkway United Methodist Church. Please come out and show your support!

We had a wonderful Evolving Butterflies meeting on Saturday, December 13th! The girls were truly engaged and did an amazing job during a special presentation on basic dining etiquette led by Ms. Julie King. She shared such valuable information, and the young ladies learned so much about proper etiquette, confidence, and presentation.
We are incredibly grateful for opportunities like this that provide meaningful life lessons our girls can apply now and in the future. These sessions are designed to prepare them for real-life situations they will encounter as they continue to grow into confident, respectful, and poised young women.
Our Evolving Butterflies are absolutely awesome, and we know they are destined to do great things. We are proud to be a part of their journey and excited to continue equipping them for success today and in the years to come! 🦋

As we welcome December, a month filled with gratitude and reflection, let's take a moment to appreciate the progress we've made this year. This is a time to come together, celebrate our achievements, and support one another as we head into the holiday season. Let's focus on completing all assignments and assessments. Please continue to stay in contact with your child's teacher to ensure that he/she is completing their class assignments and submitting. Wishing you all a wonderful holiday season ahead!
Reminders
All students should be picked up from school by 2:45 pm. (daily)
Students must be in complete uniform including ID badges. (daily)
Students must bring their devices(laptops and chargers) daily.
Students must have their phones powered off and secured in their Yondr pouches. (daily)

The Evolving Butterflies, along with our founding sponsor, Mrs. Inez Tucker, had a wonderful time serving the students of Ella Grant Elementary for our first-semester service project! 🦋📚✨
This project was created to give our young ladies the opportunity to be role models and mentors—showing leadership, compassion, and the importance of giving back to the community. Our goal was to inspire a love of reading in the kindergarten students and bring a little extra joy to their season, all while reinforcing the values of generosity and service that our Evolving Butterflies embody.
After sharing stories and smiles with the students, our group enjoyed a beautiful time of fellowship over brunch at The Toasted Yolk.
We are so proud of our girls and grateful for every parent, supporter, and partner who makes experiences like this possible. Here’s to continuing the journey of growth, service, and sisterhood!

The Holiday toy and gift Stuff the Bus Drive is back. Please join the Peer Helpers and Peer Helpers in Training as they collect new, unwrapped holidays gifts for middle or high school aged students who attend school within the MCPSS school system. The final day to donate a gift is December 10th. The drop off location is Ms. McGrew-Dale’s office. Join us and help make this season brighter for some of our MCPSS students.

On Saturday, November 22nd, the Evolving Butterflies were fortunate to have Ashley Flores, Director of Communication for the City of Prichard, come out and present on how to conduct yourselves on social media, as well as the many career opportunities available in the social media world. Our young ladies gained so much valuable insight, and we truly appreciate the time and wisdom she shared with us.
