She shared an abundance of powerful and valuable information with our young ladies. She thoughtfully spoke on African American history as a whole, covering key periods from slavery to segregation, and the journey toward desegregation in Mobile, Alabama. Her presentation was informative, engaging, and impactful.
The lessons shared today allowed our students to not only learn history, but to reflect on who they are, where they come from, and the type of individuals they are becoming in society. It was a truly enriching experience that will help our young ladies continue to build confidence, pride, and purpose.
We are extremely grateful for Mrs. Maati Ta-Neter's time, knowledge, and dedication to educating and empowering our students.

She introduced the Butterflies to four types of journaling:
• Personal journaling
• Gratitude journaling
• Dream journaling
• Bullet/Organization journaling
Each style helps our girls express their feelings, manage stress and anxiety, set goals, stay organized, and reflect on their growth over time. Journaling allows them to look back and truly see how they have evolved.
It’s an excellent tool for everyone; children and adults alike. We are thankful for experiences like this that help shape confident, reflective, and empowered young ladies.

From Coach Tucker.
"I would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Ms. LaShoundra Bird Young for coming on Saturday as a guest speaker for Evolving Butterflies. 🦋
Her presentation on poise, confidence, and how to walk into a room without saying a word, and yet still command presence was absolutely amazing.
The young ladies gained so much insight and understanding, and you could truly see the impact of her words. They learned the importance of carrying themselves with confidence, purpose, and grace.
I am truly grateful for the time she poured into them, and I am praying that they continue to apply what they are learning from each speaker as it helps evolve them into the strong, confident butterflies they are becoming.
Thank you again Lashoundra, for your wisdom, encouragement, and investment in our young ladies. You were phenomenal"
